Frequently asked questions
How are the teams made?
The names are shuffled with your browser's secure random generator and dealt out one at a time, like cards, so team sizes never differ by more than one.
Can I choose the team size instead of the number of teams?
Yes. Switch to “People per team” and enter a size. The generator works out how many teams that makes; if the names don't divide evenly, some teams get one more person.
Can I keep certain people apart?
Mark team captains or leaders with a * at the start of their name (like *Sam). Captains are spread across the teams first, one per team, before everyone else is dealt.
Is my list saved?
It's kept in this browser so you can make new teams next time. Nothing is uploaded.
