How to roll dice online

  1. Choose how many dice and how many sides each has.
  2. Add a modifier if your game needs one.
  3. Press Roll (or R on your keyboard). You’ll see each die and the total.

Dice notation

Games write rolls as NdS + M: roll N dice with S sides and add M. 2d6 is two six-sided dice (2 to 12); 1d20 + 5 is one twenty-sided die plus five (6 to 25).

Are the dice fair?

Yes. Each die uses your browser's secure random number generator, so every face has exactly the same chance, and no roll depends on the one before.

Which dice can I roll?

Up to 12 dice at once, with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or 100 sides: everything for board games and tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.

Can I add a bonus to the roll?

Yes. Enter a modifier such as +3 or −1 and it's added to the total, like a d20 + 5 attack roll.

Can I roll with the keyboard?

Press the space bar or Enter while the Roll button is focused, or press R anywhere on the page.
