How to fill in a timesheet
- Enter the start and end time for each day you worked, and the minutes of unpaid break. Leave days off empty.
- Add your hourly rate and how overtime works where you are.
- See the hours for each day, the week’s total in hours and minutes and as a decimal, and your pay.
Hours and minutes to decimal hours
Decimal hours = hours + minutes ÷ 60
7 hours 45 minutes is 7 + 45 ÷ 60 = 7.75 hours. Payroll systems usually want decimal hours.
