How to compress images
- Choose JPG or WEBP and set the quality (75% is a great starting point).
- Add your images. Each one is compressed instantly and you can see how much space you saved.
- Download the smaller images individually or as a ZIP.
Why compress images?
- Email and messaging often limit attachments to 10–25 MB.
- Websites load faster with smaller images, which also helps search rankings.
- Online forms for jobs, visas and IDs often reject files over 1–2 MB.
- Storage: smaller photos take up less space on your phone and in the cloud.
Tips
- Compressing an image twice doesn't make it much smaller and lowers quality further. Start from the original.
- If the file is still too big, reduce its dimensions with the image resizer, which is often the biggest saving.
