How to make your CV
- Fill in your details on the Content tab. Start from the example or a blank CV, and add, remove, rename or reorder any section.
- Choose a template, colours, font and spacing on the Design tab. The preview updates as you type.
- Download your CV as a PDF. Your work is saved in this browser automatically.
What makes a good CV
- Lead with results. “Cut report time from 3 days to 4 hours” says more than “responsible for reports”.
- Match the job. Use the words from the job advert in your summary and skills, so both people and ATS software find them.
- Keep it scannable. Short bullet points, newest experience first, and the same date format throughout.
- Check the basics. A professional email address, a phone number with the country code, and no spelling mistakes.
Applying with a cover letter? Use the same font and colour so your application looks consistent, and keep your CV and letter to one style.
