Make a YouTube thumbnail that gets clicks
- Start from a style, then add a background photo or keep the colour gradient.
- Write three to five big words, and add a photo of yourself or an emoji to show the feeling.
- Drag things into place, keeping the bottom-right corner clear, and download a 1280 × 720 JPG ready to upload.
Thumbnail tips
- Check it small: most people see your thumbnail at the size of a stamp on their phone.
- Use contrast: bright text with a thick dark outline reads on any background.
- Don't repeat the title: the thumbnail and title should work together, each adding something.
