Frequently asked questions

Which characters are supported?

English and other Western European languages, including accents, curly quotes, dashes and the euro sign. Characters from other alphabets are replaced with a question mark, and you'll see a warning when that happens.

Can I open a .txt file?

Yes. Click “Open a text file” or drop a .txt, .md, .csv or similar plain-text file onto the text box.

Which font should I use?

Sans-serif (Helvetica) and serif (Times) suit letters and documents. Monospace (Courier) keeps columns lined up, which suits code, logs and plain-text tables.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The PDF is created in your browser.
