Frequently asked questions
Are the images in their original quality?
Yes. Images are copied out of the document exactly as they're stored, in their original format and resolution, with no recompression. If Word compressed the pictures when saving, that's the quality you get.
Does it work with PowerPoint and Excel files?
Yes. .pptx and .xlsx files store pictures the same way, so you can extract images from presentations and spreadsheets too.
Why can't some images be previewed?
Some documents contain older vector formats such as EMF or WMF, which browsers can't display. You can still download them and open them in Word or another program.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The images are extracted in your browser.
