How to record your screen

  1. Choose whether to record computer sound and your microphone.
  2. Click Start recording and pick the whole screen, a window or a browser tab.
  3. Click Stop (or “Stop sharing” in your browser) and download the video.

Make the video smaller with Compress Video, or cut the start and end with Trim Video.

Frequently asked questions

Can I record my screen with sound?

Yes. Tick “Computer sound” to record the sound from a browser tab (and on Windows, the whole system), and “Microphone” to add your voice. In the sharing window, make sure “Share audio” is switched on.

Does it work on phones?

No. Phone browsers don't allow websites to record the screen. Use your phone's built-in screen recorder instead: on iPhone it's in Control Center, on Android in Quick Settings.

Is there a time limit or watermark?

No watermark and no time limit. Very long recordings use a lot of memory, so for recordings over an hour, stop and start a new one now and then.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. The video is recorded and saved by your browser on your device.
