Translate to and from Morse code
Type a message to see it in Morse code, or paste dots and dashes to read them as text. Listen to it at any speed, watch it flash, or download the sound.
Morse code basics
- A dash lasts as long as three dots.
- The gap between the parts of one letter is one dot long; between letters, three dots; between words, seven.
- The most famous message, SOS (... --- ...), was chosen because it's easy to send and recognise, not because it stands for words.
