Frequently asked questions

Is a signature added this way legally valid?

In many countries, including the US, UK and EU, an electronic signature like this is accepted for everyday documents such as rental agreements, forms and letters. Some documents, such as certain contracts or official filings, need a certified digital signature or a wet ink signature. Check with the person asking for your signature if you're unsure.

How do I make my signature look natural?

Draw it slowly with a mouse, trackpad or your finger on a phone, which gives the most natural look. Or upload a photo of your signature on white paper and tick “Remove white background”.

Can I add the date or my name?

Yes. Use “Add date” for today's date, or type any text, such as your printed name, and click “Add text”. Drag it into place and use the corner handle to resize it.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The document and your signature stay on your device. Nothing is stored after you close the page.
