SVG or PNG?
Keep SVG for logos and icons on websites; it stays sharp at any size and is usually smaller. Use PNG where SVG isn't
accepted, such as social media, email signatures, app stores and many document editors. To make a full favicon set from
your SVG, use the favicon generator.
Frequently asked questions
Will the PNG be sharp?
Yes. SVG is a vector format, so it's redrawn at whatever size you choose before being saved as PNG. Pick the width you need, or a 2× or 3× scale for high-resolution (Retina) screens.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes, by default. Choose a background color if you need an opaque PNG, for example for an app icon or a document that doesn't support transparency.
Why does my SVG look different or show no text?
SVGs that load external files, such as web fonts or linked images, can't use them when converted in the browser. Convert text to outlines in your design tool, or embed images inside the SVG, for an exact result.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The SVG is drawn and converted to PNG entirely in your browser.
