Frequently asked questions
How does the study planner decide what to study each day?
Every day you have study time is filled with sessions. Each session goes to the subject that is furthest behind its fair share of study time, and a subject's share grows with its difficulty and as its exam gets closer, so hard subjects and near exams get more time while every subject keeps moving. In the last few days before an exam, that subject gets most of the time for revision.
Can I change the plan?
Yes. Change your study hours, days off, session length, difficulty or exam dates and the plan updates immediately. You can also switch on “Change subjects” to swap the subject of any single session.
How do I add the timetable to my phone's calendar?
Click “Add to calendar” to download a calendar file (.ics). Open it on your phone or computer, or import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, to get your exams (and, if you like, your study sessions) with reminders.
Is my plan saved?
Yes, automatically, in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Use “Share link” to open the same plan on another device or to send it to a friend.
What's a good study session length?
Many students focus best in sessions of 45 to 60 minutes with a short break in between. Shorter sessions suit younger students and hard subjects; longer ones suit past papers and essay practice.
