Frequently asked questions

How do I crop an image to a square?

Choose the 1:1 (square) preset. The crop box keeps a square shape while you move and resize it. Then click “Crop and download”.

Can I crop to an exact pixel size?

Yes. Type the width, height and position in pixels in the fields under the image. The crop box updates to match, and the downloaded image is exactly that size.

Does cropping reduce image quality?

Cropping itself doesn't change the remaining pixels. PNG images stay lossless. JPG and WEBP images are saved again at high quality (92%), which is visually identical to the original.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The image is cropped in your browser and never leaves your device.
