Org Chart Maker

Type your team as an outline (name and job title) and get a neat organisation chart, top to bottom or left to right.

One person per line: Name | Job title. Indent a line (Tab or two spaces) to put them under the person above.

How to make an organisation chart

  1. Write the person at the top first, with their job title after a “|”.
  2. Add the people under them on the lines below, indented with Tab, and indent again for each team.
  3. Choose the direction and colours, then download a PNG for slides, an SVG, or a PDF to print.

Org charts work for companies, schools, clubs, churches and family trees too. Brainstorming instead? Use the mind map maker.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make an org chart?

Type the person at the top on the first line, like “Maya Silva | CEO”. Put the people who report to them on the lines below, indented with Tab or two spaces, and indent again for their teams. The chart draws itself as you type.

Can I paste my team from a spreadsheet?

Yes, if each person is on their own line. Use “Name | Job title”, “Name - Job title” or “Name (Job title)”, and indent each person under their manager.

My chart is too wide. What can I do?

Keep “Stack people with no team under them” on: people who don't manage anyone are listed under their manager instead of side by side. Or choose Left to right, which suits long teams.

Is it private?

Yes. The chart is made in your browser and saved only in this browser. Download it as a PNG, SVG or PDF to share it.
