How to combine double-sided scans
- Scan the fronts of the pages, then turn the stack over and scan the backs.
- Choose both PDFs (or the one PDF with both scans in it).
- Check the order and save one PDF with every page in place.
Blank backs in your scan? Take them out with remove blank pages. Making the file smaller? Use compress PDF.
Frequently asked questions
When do I need this?
When your scanner only scans one side: you scan the stack once for the fronts, turn it over and scan again for the backs. This puts the pages back in the right order: front 1, back 1, front 2, back 2 and so on.
My backs are in the wrong order.
Turning the stack over usually scans the backs last page first, so “Backs are in reverse order” is ticked. If yours came out first page first, untick it and check the order shown before saving.
I scanned everything into one PDF.
Choose “One PDF: fronts, then backs”. The first half of the pages are taken as the fronts and the second half as the backs.
Is it uploaded?
No. The pages are put in order in your browser and copied without any loss of quality.
